|a لم يتوان الشعب العربي الفلسطيني عن التصدي للمشروع الصهيون أولا، ولاحقا للاحتلال الإسرائيلي منذ صدور وعد بلفور في 2 تشرين الأول/ نوفمبر 1917؛ فقد مارس الشعب الفلسطيني كل أشكال المقاومة المسلحة والشعبية، وكذلك المفاوضات السلمية والمعارك القانونية والدبلوماسية لنزع الشرعية عن الاحتلال الإسرائيلي. وعلى الرغم من عدم نجاح الشعب الفلسطيني في إنهاء ودحر الاحتلال الإسرائيلي وإقامة الدولة الفلسطينية المستقلة حتى اللحظة، بسبب عجز المجتمع الدولي عن القيام بواجباته تجاه تنفيذ قرارات الشرعية الدولية، وتخاذل الدول الغربية عن دعم حق الفلسطينيين بالمقاومة المسلحة، مثلما هو الحال في دعم الدول الغربية اللاحدود لأوكرانيا ضد الغزو الروسي مثلا، إلا أن الشعب الفلسطيني استطاع الصمود والبقاء على أرضه، فهناك سبعة ملايين فلسطيني ما يزالون صامدين ومرابطين على أرض فلسطين بين البحر والنهر. وعلى الرغم من محاولات إسرائيل الهادفة إلى اقتلاع الفلسطينيين وتصفية قضيتهم، إلا أن الاحتلال الإسرائيلي لم يحقق الاستقرار لذاته ولا والقضاء على الشعب الفلسطيني، حتى إن الإسرائيليين أنفسهم يعترفون بأنهم يواجهون شعبا من طينة مختلفة، فشلت معه كل محاولات الاقتلاع والتذويب. ومن الجدير ذكره بأن تنامي وصعود مجموعات المقاومة الفلسطينية الجديدة لها تداعيات جيوسياسية على الأمن الإسرائيلي، فما تزال إسرائيل تعتبر أن التهديد من منظمات المقاومة الفلسطينية المسلحة (حماس والجهاد الإسلامي) هي تحديات أمنية حقيقية تواجه إسرائيل خلال الأعوام القادمة.
|b The Palestinian people did not hesitate to confront the Zionist plots to take their land from the beginning of the 20th century, as promised by Balfour Declaration on November 2, 1917. They also encountered the Israeli occupation since then. The Palestinian people practiced all forms of armed and popular resistance, peaceful negotiations, and legal and diplomatic battles to delegitimize the Israeli occupation of their land. Despite the failure of the Palestinian people to end and defeat the Israeli occupation and establish an independent Palestinian state, the Palestinian people managed to stand firm and remain on their land, as there are seven million Palestinians who are still steadfast and stationed on the land of Palestine between the sea and the river. The failure to end the occupation after 74 years of struggle is referred to the inability of the international community to carry out its duties toward implementing the resolutions of international legitimacy and the failure of Western countries to support the right of the Palestinians to struggle against such occupation. Despite Israel's attempts to uproot the Palestinians and liquidate their cause, the Israeli occupation could neither achieve stability nor eliminate the Palestinian people simultaneously. Even the Israelis themselves admit that they are facing a people of a different nature, with whom all attempts to uproot and assimilate have failed. It is worth noting that the growth and rise of new Palestinian resistance groups have many real repercussions on Israeli security. Israel still considers the threat from armed Palestinian resistance organizations (Hamas and Islamic Jihad) a real security challenge facing Israel in the coming years.
