|b The occurrence of 2008 crisis asserted the need for governance generally, as employing governance mechanisms effectively and efficiently facilities and coordinates efforts towards the targeted framework for each country. Although the Government of Egypt (GOE) targeted sustainable development process through its 3 dimensions (Economic, Social and Environmental), this target faces various problems, obstacles and challenges, especially in the social dimension, in health side. For this, GOE followed governance mechanisms aiming at managing healthcare sector effectively and efficiently through improving the healthcare sector’s outcomes. Therefore, the research will focus on the role of governance in enhancing healthcare sector in Egypt. First, the research starts with presenting the concept of governance theoretically and shedding light on its role in enhancing healthcare sector. Second, the Egyptian case is analyzed and evaluated by the elaborating the role of governance in managing the healthcare sector for advancing in healthcare sector outcomes. And finally, it resulted with conclusions and offered recommendations. The research concluded that Egypt is lacking governance in healthcare sector and recommended activating the role of governance in promoting healthcare sector in Egypt and prioritizing health on the Egyptian agenda and modifying laws.
