The aim of the study was to fill the gap and establish the prevalence of swimming ability among female college students in Kuwait, the study sample consisted of (644) female students randomly selected from the College of Basic Education, Swimming ability were assessed using the Arab Teen Lifestyle Study (ATLS) questionnaire. The results show that Physical Education and Sport department was the 80% whereas the Islamic and English departments got the lowest percentage. Physical Education and Sport had the highest mean swimming activity level at 303 ± 45. Our present results indicate that swimming can contribute to better health as well as being a lifesaving skill to prevent drowning, interventions to improve swimming ability of age college students could be with proving elective swimming and water safety and safe rescue skills classes.
