تساهم الترجمة الأدبية، بوصفها ممارسة ثقافية، في بناء هويات ثقافية جديدة، حيث تملك الترجمة القدرة على تصدير صورة للثقافات الأجنبية (المصدر) إلى الثقافة المحلية (الهدف) من خلال ما يعرف في الدراسات ما بعد الكولونيالية للترجمة بعملية التمثيل. بيد أن الترجمة، في سياق ما بعد كولنيالي، تطرح إشكالية عدم تكافؤ القوى بين لغات/ثقافات الغرب ولغات/ ثقافات الشرق، ومنه إشكالية الهيمنة الثقافية. وعليه يهدف هذا المقال إلى تسليط الضوء على الأبعاد الإيديولوجية والسياسية والسوسيوثقافية للترجمة ما بعد الكولونيالية من خلال تناول نموذج ترجمة الأدب العربي إلى اللغات الغربية المهيمنة ألا وهي: الإنجليزية والفرنسية؛ كما يحاول أيضا إبراز دور الترجمة في تعزيز أو تقويض الصور النمطية حول الآخر. Literary Translation, as a cultural practice, contributes in constructing new cultural identities, for it has the power to convey an image of the foreign cultures (source culture) to the local culture (target culture), which is known in post-colonial translation theory as cultural representation. However, Translation, in a post colonial context, raises the problem of power imbalance between languages /cultures of the West and those of the Orient, and thus the problem of cultural hegemony. That being said, this article aims to shed the light on the ideological, political and socio-cultural dimensions of post-colonial translation through tackling the model of translating Arab literature into hegemonic Western languages, namely French and English. It also attempts to highlight the role of translation in maintaining or deconstructing stereotypes about the other. La traduction littéraire, comme pratique culturelle, contribue à construire de nouvelles identités culturelles dans la mesure où elle a le pouvoir de transmettre une image des cultures étrangères (sources) à la culture locale (Cible) ; ce que l’on appelle dans la théorie de la traduction postcoloniale : la représentation. Cependant, la traduction dans un contexte postcolonial pose la problématique de l’inégalité des forces entre les langues/cultures de l’Occident et celles de l’Orient, et par conséquent la problématique de l’hégémonie culturelle. Ainsi, cet article vise à jeter la lumière sur les dimensions idéologiques, politiques et socioculturelles de la traduction postcoloniale en abordant le modèle de la traduction de la littérature arabe vers les langues occidentales hégémoniques, en l’occurrence l’anglais et le français ; il vise notamment à mettre l’accent sur le rôle de la traduction dans la fixation ou la déconstruction des stéréotypes sur l’Autre. |
