يسعى هذا البحث إلى الوقوف على ملامح النقد الاجتماعي في سيرة فدوى طوقان الذاتية "رحلة جبلية رحلة صعبة"؛ فالقارئ لسيرتها المذكورة يجد أنها تتبنى اتجاها نقديا ذا أبعاد اجتماعية تسعى عبره إلى الكشف عن بعض العادات الاجتماعية والتربوية التي كان لها أثر في حياتها. وصحيح أن سيرة "رحلة جبلية رحلة صعبة" هي سيرة ذاتية، لكن ذاتية الأديب لا تقف عند الذاتية الفردية حين يتعلق الأمر بالمجتمع الذي تنتمي إليه، من هنا، ينطلق الباحث في بحثه من رؤية ترى في السيرة مواقف ذات أبعاد اجتماعية وتربوية تتصل بفدوى لكنها تمس الحياة الاجتماعية والتربوية التي عاشتها وتعيشها كثير من النساء في مجتمعنا الذكوري. وهكذا، فكل حدث وكل موقف تتناوله طوقان يعبر عن تفاعل الذات مع المجموع من جهة، ويجسد رؤية ذات أبعاد نقدية بعد أن تحسست الذات أوجاعها ووقفت تنظر إلى الماضي من شرفة الحاضر، حيث تعتمد تقنية الاسترجاع في استعادة الزمن المفقود والذكريات الغابرة، وتجسد تجربة المرأة في صراعها مع الواقع وانعكاس ذلك على حياتها الذاتية. كل ذلك، جعل الباحث يرى في سيرة طوقان صرخة مكتوبة تجسد صوت المرأة العربية بعامة والمرأة الفلسطينية بخاصة، ويحمل دعوة إلى وجوب التغيير في النمط القديم الذي ساد في معاملة المرأة، وهي تتبنى اللواء الذي حمله كثير من الناشطين والمفكرين والأدباء أمثال هدى شعراوي، وأحمد فارس الشدياق وقاسم أمين.
This research seeks to understand the features of social criticism in the biography of Fadwa Touqan" A Mountainous Journey A Difficult Journey." The reader of her above-mentioned biography finds that she adopts a critical direction which has social dimensions through which she seeks to uncover some social and educational customs which had an effect on her life. It is true that "A Mountainous Journey A Difficult Journey" is an autobiography. However, the subjectivity of the literary man does not stop at the individual subjectivity when the matter is concerned with the society to which it belongs. From here, the researcher sets out in his research from a vision which sees in the biography positions having social and educational dimensions which are related to Fadwa but they touch the social and educational life which she had lived and which many women live in our male society. So, ever event and every position which is treated by Touqan expresses an interaction of the self with the total on the one hand, and it embodies a vision having critical dimensions after the self sensed its pained and it stopped to look at the past from the balcony of the present, whereby she adopts the technique of recall in recovering the lost time and the ancient memories, and she embodies the experience of woman in her struggle with the reality and the reflection of this on her subjective life. All of the this made the researcher view in the biography of Touqan a written cry which embodies the voice of the Arab woman in general and the Palestinian woman in particular, and it carries a call for the necessity of change in the old pattern which prevailed in the treatment of the woman. And she adopts the banner which was carried by many activists, thinkers and men of letters such as Huda Sha'arawi, Ahmad Fares Al Shidyaq, and Qasem Amin.
