المستخلص: اشتركت اللغة العربية الفصحى مع سائر أخواتها الساميات في خصائص لغوية متعددة، ومنها ظاهرة التضاد الذي تم تناوله في هذا البحث الذي جاءت موسوما برصد ظاهرة التضاد في شعر المتنبي دراسة تطبيقية تحليلية». وقد حوى البحث مقدمة عن التضاد، وتم التعريف به، وبأنواعه، ثم تناول البحث آراء العلماء القدامى والمحدثين المؤيدين لوجوده والمنكرين له. ثم تلا ذلك رصد لظاهرة التضاد في شعر المتنبي، واعتمد البحث على المنهج الاستقرائي التحليلي، وتوصل البحث إلى عدة نتائج منها: شعر المتنبي حافل بظاهرة التضاد من النوع الأول الذي يجيء بلفظين. الثنائيات المتضادة التي وردت في شعر المتنبي بلغت خمسا وسبعين ثنائية، انقسمت إلى مجموعتين، المجموعة الأولى شملت ثلاثا وثلاثين ثنائية، جاء التضاد في كل منها مرة واحدة المجموعة الثانية شملت اثنتين وأربعين ثنائية متضادة تفاوتت درجة تكرار التضاد فيها حيث بلغ أعلاها تكرارا ثنائية تكررت اثنتين وعشرين مرة، وأقلها تكرارا بعض الثنائيات تكرر التضاد في كل منها مرتين.

The classical Arabic language shared with all its Semitic sisters in multiple linguistic characteristics, including the phenomenon of antithesis, which was dealt with in this research, which was marked by “Monitoring the phenomenon of antithesis in Al-Mutanabbi’s poetry, an applied and analytical study.” The research aims to draw attention to the phenomenon of antithesis in the Arabic language, and present What came from it in Al Mutanabbi’s poetry, in order to demonstrate the richness of the Arabic language. The research relied on the analytical inductive method. The research contained an introduction about the contradiction, and it was defined, and its types, then the research dealt with the opinions of ancient and modern scholars who support its existence and those who deny it.Then this was followed by monitoring the phenomenon of antagonism in Al Mutanabbi’s poetry, and the research reached several results, including: After observing the phenomenon of antagonism of the first kind in Al Mutanabbi’s poetry, which came with two opposite words, it became clear that his poetry is full of this phenomenon in a remarkable way, which gave it a clear artistic dimension. Contained in Al-Mutanabbi’s poetry, its different sections, including: acute, gradual, reverse, directional, and vertical. The antagonistic couplets that appeared in Al-Mutanabbi’s poetry amounted to seventy-five couplets, divided into two groups, the first group included thirty-three couplets, the antagonism in each of them came once. Twenty times, the least of which is a group of pairs that repeat the antithesis twice in each of them.
