المستخلص: Takmir programme played a vital role in spreading the hadith in the community through the mosque institutions. It was a nucleus towards the development of a civilized Muslim nation that adhere to the teachings of the Prophet SAW as mosques were indeed the prominent platforms for religious activities and lectures. Relatively, the dissemination of hadith knowledge was well-spread in mosques in Perlis. To some extent, the Muslim community in Malaysia have also developed the awareness regarding the authenticity of hadith and the authority of the conveyers, including the preachers of the takmir programme who hold the related tauliah from the state. Here, the study described the books of hadith used in takmir classes in Perlis mosques by reviewing its procedure in five district mosques. The study also analyzed the opinions of mosque congregations who attended the lectures provided. The study used qualitative methods which included interviews, observations and document analysis. The findings showed that the effectiveness of hadith lectures in Perlis mosque was at a positive level in term of selection of hadith books, the response of the congregation, and the suitability of reference to the level of the mosque congregations. The findings should also able to further trigger the interest of the mass to adhere to the hadith as legacy of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, and as the second source of Islamic legislation after the Quran

Peranan program takmir dalam pengajian hadith di institusi masjid adalah nukleus ke arah melahirkan komuniti muslim madani dalam menghayati sunnah Rasulullah SAW. Institusi masjid merupakan platform kegiatan ibadah, kuliah agama dan pengajian tafaqquh. Syarahan kitab pengajian hadith turut didedahkan di institusi masjid seluruh negeri Perlis. Penyebaran hadith yang berautentik dan berautoriti telah menjadi kesedaran dalam kalangan masyarakat Islam di Malaysia, iaitu penyampaian hadith yang sahih dan hasan dalam kalangan guru takmir yang memiliki tauliah. Oleh demikian kertas kerja ini akan membincangkan kitab-kitab hadith yang digunakan dalam pengajian hadith dengan meninjau lima buah masjid daerah di Perlis dan menganalisis pendapat jemaah masjid yang menghadiri kuliah pengajian yang disediakan. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah kualitatif berbentuk temu bual, pemerhatian dan analisis dokumen. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan keberkesanan kuliah pengajian hadith di institusi masjid di Perlis berada pada tahap yang positif dari sudut pemilihan kitab-kitab hadith, sambutan jemaah terhadap kitab hadith yang diajar dan kesesuaian kitab-kitab hadith dengan tahap kemampuan jemaah masjid. Harapan melalui kajian ini dapat menyuntik minat keterlibatan masyarakat untuk mengamalkan hadith warisan Nabi Muhammad SAW sebagai sumber pensyariatan Islam yang kedua selepas kitab al-Quran
