إذا كان العلم هو سبيل التقدم، وويعد العلم بمثابة قاطرة النهضة للأمم، بل أكثر من ذلك فإن التسرب بصفة عامة وتسرب الفتيات بصفة خاصة يعد بمثابة سرطان التقدم ومصدر أساسي لتخلف البلاد وانهيارها وبصفة خاصة في الدول النامية، (فما من شك في أن التسرب هدر تربوي، له أثر كبير في جميع جوانب المجتمع، حيث يزيد نسبة الأمية والبطالة، الأمر الذي يضعف البنية الاقتصادية الإنتاجية للمجتمع والفرد. كما أنه يزيد حجم المشكلات الاجتماعية كالانحراف وانتشار السرقات وازدياد حالات الاعتداء على الغير) (عبد الحميد محمد علي، 2009)، وبصفة خاصة تسرب الفتيات، فالفتاه المتسربة من التعليم هي قوة بشرية معطلة بل وتعد عائق كبير ضد التقدم وهذه ليست مجرد شعارات ترفع، لذلك تعد ظاهره تسرب الفتيات من التعليم من أصعب المشاكل التي تعاني منها كثير من الدول في العالم، وبصفة خاصة الدول العربية، لذلك فان مشكلة تسرب الفتيات من التعليم من الأهمية بمكان دراستها والاهتمام بها، لأن هذه الظاهرة لها من الآثار السيئة الكثيرة ليس فقط علي العملية التعليمية بل أن آثارها قد تمتد إلى المجتمع كله في جميع النواحي مما يؤثر على تقدم المجتمع وزيادة الأمية وعدم المساهمة في التنمية، بل وعرقلة التقدم والازدهار للمجتمع وأيضا يعد تسرب الفتيات من التعليم بمثابه إهدار للطاقات البشرية التي يحتاجها المجتمع، لذلك يجب أن تتضافر جميع الجهود من أجل القضاء علي المشكلة. ومن هنا جاء الاهتمام بالرصد والتحليل والمعالجات من وجهة نظر الباحثة.

Hence the interest in monitoring, analysis and treatments from the researcher's point of view.
