الجريمة ظاهرة قديمة وحديثة في نفس الوقت عانت وما زالت تعاني منها جميع المجتمعات بدون استثناء، وأول خلية من خلايا المجتمع التي تصطدم بالجريمة هي الأسرة التي خلفت آثار وخيمة عليها أثرت على العلاقات الأسرية داخل الأسرة وخارجها، فقد انعكست الجريمة على العلاقة بين الزوجين إما إيجابا أو سلبيا من كثرة الشجار والنزاع والعنف الجسدي واللفظي نتيجة الضغوطات النفسية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية التي خلفتها الجريمة إلى جانب لم وحدة الأسرة وذلك بالتعاون للحفاظ على سلامة أفرادها، كما انعكست الجريمة على علاقة الوالدين بالأبناء حيث تذبذبت العلاقة أحيانا سيئة وأخرى جيدة حسب الظروف المعاشة، فزاد الاهتمام بالأبناء خوفا عليهم مما أدى الوالدين إلى اتخاذ مجموعة من الآليات للحفاظ على سلامة الأبناء منها التوعية والتوجيه والإرشاد والنصائح اليومية، كما انعكست الجريمة على علاقة الإخوة، حيث متنت العلاقة والتعاون والتآزر والمحبة إلى جانب كثرة الشجارات في البيت نظرا لعدم الخروج وما خلفته من؟ آثار نفسية على الإخوة وعدم الوثوق في أي شخص مهما كان.
