المستخلص: The ancient Gunugu is about 30km west of the city of Cherchell, the ancient Caesarea, capital of Mauretania Caesariensis. A Phoenician counter then a Roman colony, this city experienced prosperous activity through its port, which was cited in ancient sources. The identification of the latter still not being precise, our study focuses on the search for clues to support the hypothesis of the location of the port of Gunugu

L’antique Gunugu se trouve à environ 30km à l’Ouest de la ville de Cherchell, l’ancienne Caesarea, capitale de la Maurétanie Césarienne. Comptoir phénicien puis colonie romaine, cette cité a connu une activité prospère à travers son port, qui a été cité dans les sources antiques. L’identification de ce dernier n’étant toujours pas précise, notre étude porte sur la recherche d’indices permettant de conforter l’hypothèse de l’emplacement du port qu’a connu Gunugu.
