المستخلص: هدف البحث الحالي التعرف على طبيعة العلاقة بين تقدير الذات والصلابة النفسية لدى رجال الإطفاء في مدينة حمص، والكشف عن دلالة الفروق بين متوسطات درجات أفراد عينة البحث من رجال الإطفاء على مقياس تقدير الذات ومقياس الصلابة النفسية وأبعاده الفرعية (الالتزام، التحكم، التحدي) تبعا لمتغير طبيعة العمل (سائق، جندي)، لذا اتبع البحث المنهج الوصفي من خلال تطبيق مقياس تقدير الذات ومقياس الصلابة النفسية على عينة عشوائية مكونة من (94) فردا من رجال الإطفاء السائقين والجنود في مدينة حمص. وأظهرت نتائج البحث إلى وجود علاقة ارتباطية طردية ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى دلالة (0.05) بين درجات أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس تقدير الذات ودرجاتهم على مقياس الصلابة النفسية ككل وأبعاده الفرعية (الالتزام، التحكم، التحدي)، كما توصلت النتائج إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى دلالة (0.05) بين متوسطات درجات أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس تقدير الذات تبعا لمتغير طبيعة العمل وكانت الفروق لصالح العامل كجندي، وعدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المتوسطات على مقياس الصلابة النفسية ككل وأبعاده الفرعية تبعا لمتغير طبيعة العمل(سائق، جندي).

The objective of the current research is to identify the nature of the relationship between self-esteem and psychological hardness among firefighters in the city of Homs, and to reveal the significance of the differences between the mean scores of the research sample of firefighters on the self-esteem scale and the psychological hardness scale and its sub dimensions (commitment, control, challenge) according to the variable The nature of the work (driver, soldier), so the research followed the descriptive approach by applying the self-esteem scale and the psychological hardness scale on a random sample of (94) firefighters, drivers and soldiers in the city of Homs. The results of the research showed that there is a direct and statistically significant correlation at the level of significance (0.05) between the scores of the research sample on the self-esteem scale and their scores on the psychological hardness scale as a whole and its sub dimensions (commitment, control, challenge), and the results also found significant differences. Statistically significant at the level of (0.05) between the mean scores of the research sample on the self-esteem scale according to the variable of the nature of work, and the differences were in favor of the worker as a soldier, and there were no statistically significant differences between the averages on the psychological hardness scale as a whole and its sub-dimensions according to the variable of the nature of work (driver, soldier ).
