للألياف المصنوع منها القماش أهمية كبيرة في تحديد خواصه، بالإضافة إلى تأثير الخيوط المستخدمة في النسج واختلاف طرق التراكيب النسجية و التجهيزات التي مر بها النسيج ومن لمعروف أن لكل نسيج أنماط ملبسيه معينة مناسبة له تبعا لخواصه النسجية و التي تساعد النمط الملبسي على أداء وظيفته. كذلك تعتبر الخامة التي تستخدم في صناعة الملابس من العوامل الهامة التي يضعها المصمم في اعتباره عند التصميم فالنسيج له دور في التصميم حيث أنه يساعد المصمم في إعطاء الخداع البصري كالخطوط والألوان، وعلى حسن اختيار الخامة يتوقف نجاح التصميم وتقبل الجمهور له. وقد لوحظ عدم مراعاة الذوق والاتجاهات الحديثة في اختيار النسيج المناسب للملابس من حيث التصميم والوظيفة لدى الطالبات بالمرحلة الجامعية لذا كان لابد من القيام بدراسة علمية تهدف إلى رفع الوعي لدى الطالبات بالمرحلة الجامعية عن طريق وضع برنامج لتنمية الوعي بالنسيج لإكسابهن المهارات الأساسية في كيفية اختيار النسيج المناسب للغرض المطلوب تحقيقه. اشتملت عينة البحث على عدد من طالبات الفرقة الثالثة بقسم الاقتصاد المنزلي وعددهم 30 طالبة تم حذف ثلاث طالبات لعدم المواظبة على حضور البرنامج فأصبحت عينة البحث 27 طالبة. واقتصر البحث على الكلية الجامعية بالقنفدة. فرع الطالبات- جامعة أم القرى- بالمملكة العربية السعودية وتم تطبيق البرنامج على الطالبات بتقسيمهم إلى مجموعتين وإعطاء عدد 3 محاضرات في الأسبوع خلال أربعة أسابع متتالية. وقد تم إعداد أدوات البحث وهي:- المقياس للتعرف على مدى وعي الطالبات بالنسيج، بطاقة الملاحظة لتحديد جوانب الضعف في اختيار النسيج المناسب، و الاختبار التحصيلي لمعرفة مدى استيعاب الطالبات للمفاهيم الموجودة بالبرنامج. ثم تم بناء البرنامج التدريبي، والتطبيق القبلي لأدوات البحث ثم تطبيق البرنامج التدريبي ثم التطبيق البعدي لأدوات البحث وأخيرا استخلاص النتائج وتفسيرها ومناقشتها والتي كان من أهمها:- بحساب الفرق بين المتوسطين للقياس القبلي والبعدي في أداء الاختبار التحصيلي للطالبات وجد ارتفاع متوسطات درجات الطالبات في التطبيق البعدي للاختبار التحصيلي عن متوسطات درجاتهن في التطبيق القبلي وقد بلغت النسبة المئوية لمتوسطات درجاتهن في التطبيق القبلي 11.111 بينما بلغت النسبة المئوية لمتوسطات درجاتهن في التطبيق البعدي 86.185 وهذا يدل على مدى استيعاب الطالبات للمفاهيم المتضمنة بالبرنامج وذلك بعد تدريس البرنامج المقترح. ¬ارتفاع متوسطات درجات الطالبات في التطبيق البعدي لمقياس تنمية الوعي عن متوسطات درجاتهن في التطبيق القبلي وقد بلغت النسبة المئوية لمتوسطات درجاتهن في التطبيق القبلي 22.407 بينما بلغت النسبة المئوية لمتوسطات درجاتهن في التطبيق البعدي 37.889 وهذا يدل على مدى زيادة وعي الطالبات بالنسيج وأهميته وذلك بعد تدريس البرنامج المقترح. ارتفاع متوسطات درجات الطالبات في التطبيق البعدي عن متوسطات درجاتهن في التطبيق القبلي وقد بلغت النسبة المئوية لمتوسطات درجاتهن في التطبيق القبلي 0.963 بينما بلغت النسبة المئوية لمتوسطات درجاتهن في التطبيق البعدي 57.223 وهذا يدل على دور البرنامج التدريبي لتحسين مهارة اختيار النسيج عند الطالبات.

As well as the raw material is used in the garment industry are important factors established by the designer in mind when designing fabric has a role in the design as it helps the designer to give an optical illusion such as lines, colors, and a good selection of raw material cause success of the design and the public accept him. It have been noticed non-observance of taste and trends in the selection of fabric suitable for clothing in terms of design and function of female undergraduate, so it was necessary to do a scientific study aimed at raising awareness among students undergraduate through a program to develop awareness of the fabric to provide them with basic skills in how to choose a fabric appropriate for the purpose to be achieved. The research sample included a number of students in the Third Division, Department of Home Economics and the sample was 30 students but has been deleted three students for non-attendance to attend the program became a research sample 27 students. The research is restricted to undergraduate college students Umm Al Qura University - Saudi Arabia. And the program has been applied to the students by dividing them into two groups to give the 3 lectures per week, during four consecutive weeks.
