المستخلص: هدف البحث الحالي إلى التعرف على فاعلية استخدام استراتيجية البنتاجرام Pentagram في تدريس الجغرافيا لتنمية مهارات التفكير المستدام وحل المشكلات الجغرافية لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية للعام الدراسي 2022/2023م بالفصل الدراسي الثاني، وقد أعد الباحث دليلا للمعلم لتدريس وحدة "جغرافية التنمية الاقتصادية" المقررة على طلاب الصف الثاني الثانوي وفق استراتيجية البنتاجرام Pentagram. كما أعد الباحث اختبارا في مهارات التفكير المستدام، وآخرا في مهارات حل المشكلات الجغرافية. وتكونت عينة البحث من (68) طالبة من طالبات الصف الثاني الثانوي العام، تم تقسيمهم إلى مجموعتين إحداهما تجريبية (34) طالبة والأخرى ضابطة (34) طالبة، وتم تطبيق أدوات البحث قبليا ثم التدريس وفق استراتيجية البنتاجرام Pentagram لطالبات المجموعة التجريبية في حين درست طالبات المجموعة الضابطة بالأساليب المعتادة، ثم تم تطبيق أدوات البحث بعديا، وتوصلت نتائج البحث إلى فاعلية استخدام استراتيجية البنتاجرام Pentagram في تنمية مهارات التفكير المستدام وحل المشكلات الجغرافية لدى طالبات المجموعة التجريبية، وفي ضوء ذلك وضعت مجموعة من التوصيات أهمها ضرورة تطوير منهج الجغرافيا وأساليب تعليمه وتعلمه بالصف الثاني الثانوي في ضوء مهارات التفكير المستدام، وأن يتم عقد دورات تدريبية للمعلمين أثناء الخدمة على استراتيجيات التدريس الحديثة ومن أهمها استراتيجية البنتاجرام.

The current research aims to identify the effectiveness of using the Pentagram strategy in teaching geography to develop sustainable thinking skills and solving geographical problems among secondary school students for the academic year 2022/2023 in the second semester. The researcher developed a teacher's guide for teaching the "Geography of Economic Development" unit, set for the second year secondary students, according to the Pentagram strategy. The researcher also developed a sustainable thinking skills test, and a solving geographical problems test. The research sample consisted of (68) female students from the second year of general secondary school, who were divided into two groups, one of which was experimental (34 students) group and the other was a control (34 students) group. The research tools were preadministered to the experimental group students, then the research group students were taught using Pentagram strategy, while the control group students were taught using the regular teaching, and finally the research tools were post administered to the experimental group students. The research concluded effectiveness of Pentagram strategy in developing the sustainable thinking skills and solving the geographical problems of the experimental group students. In the light of the abovementioned, the research came to a number of recommendations, most important of which are necessity of developing the geography curriculum and its instruction methods in the second year secondary schools in the light of sustainable thinking skills, in addition to holding trainings for the in-service teachers on the modern teaching strategies, such as Pentagram strategy.
