"Obaid al Zakani" wrote his compilation "Akhlaq el Ashraf" (The Ethics of Nobility) in 740 AH‘ in which he illustrated in a smooth and eloquent manner the ironical critical image of the moral corruptions and social sins which prevailed during this age. He applied the method of comparison and paradox as a means to highlight the ugliness of the corruptions in the society. Therefore‘ he presented the point of view of the moralists and thinkers, and distinguished between their school of thought known as the "transcribed school of thought" or"elmathhab el mansookh"and the nobility of his age school of thought, known as the selected school of thought. Obaid's objective for this compilation was mockery and complacency and benefiting anyone who wished to benefit, as well as win the invocation of everyone who read it. Obaid was successful to a great extent in expressing the morals of the nobility of his age. It may be said that these morals were not confined to the elite and nobility alone, but included the general public and majority of the social categories, as they represented the features of the Elkhani era as whole.
