|a يتناول هذا البحث الجدل الدائر بين الفلاسفة والمتكلمين عن الجوهر الفرد، وذلك من خلال عرض وتصوير خصوص الأدلة الهندسية على أطروحة إثبات تركب الأجسام من الجواهر الفردة وأطروحة النفي، وبيان ما أضمر في الأدلة من مقدمات منطقية ومسلمات رياضية، التي توسلها كل من الفيلسوف ملا صدرا الشيرازي في شرحه على هداية الحكمة لأطروحة النفي، والمتكلم عبد العزيز الفرهاري في شرحه على العقائد النسفية لأطروحة الإثبات، كما يتناول البحث النتائج التي توصل إليها الفلاسفة والمتكلمون بالنقد، عبر تحليل مستنداتهم وإرجاعها إلى المبادئ الأول، وبيان مدى حجيتها حسب المنطق الصوري والمادي، وإبراز الإشكال في استدلال الفلاسفة على هذا المطلب لاستلزامه للدور، والملاحظات على الدليل الكلامي لعدم كفاية استدلالهم على إثبات المطلوب.
|b This paper tackles the controversy between the falasifa and the mutakallimun concerning the existence of atoms. It achieves the task by presenting, elucidating, and examining a special kind of arguments adavanced by both parties to prove their position, i.e. the geometrical arguments. Particularly, it reconstructs the debate by looking at the geometrical proofs Mulla Sadra al-Shirazi gave against the existence of atoms in his commentary on Hidayat al-Hikma, and the ones provided by Abdulaziz al-Farahari in his super-commentary on al-Taftazani’s commentary on al-aqaid al-nassafiya. The paper offers a critical, logical analysis of the arguments provided by both of them. It argues that the geometrical arguments advanced by both -Sadra for the philosophers’ side, and al-Farahari for the side of the mutakallimun- face serious problems, circularity for the falasifa and the insufficiency of the argument to prove the thesis for the mutakallimun.
