قراءة عالم الديستوبيا في رواية Oryx and Crake من خلال عدسة نقدية بيئية تبرز أمورا مهمة لقضايا الإنسان والبيئة. العالم الذي تم تخيله في هذه الرواية هو خيال تخيلي للبشر الذين يتعرضون لإبادة جماعية كارثية على حساب الاستخدام التخريبي للعلم من خلال النص، يقترح أن يتنبأ كتاب Oryx and Crake بأزمات بيئية وإنسانية محتملة تنشأ ليس فقط من الاستخدام الفاسد للعلم ولكن أيضا من الفجوة المؤسفة بين مجالات المعرفة. أي أن الإنسانية في Oryx and Crake كان من الممكن تغييرها نتيجة لرفض العلوم الإنسانية والفنون الرؤية المتوقعة في النص هي دعوة لسد الفجوات وتضافر الجهود لإنقاذ الكوكب. Reading the dystopian world in Oryx and Crake through an ecocritical lens highlights important matters to humanity and the environment. The world created in this novel is a speculative imagination of humans undergoing a disastrous genocide at the expense of an unfortunate misuse of science. With evidence from the text, it is suggested that Atwood's Oryx and Crake foretells possible environmental and humane crises emerging not only from the depraved use of science but also from the unfortunate gap between knowledge fields. That is, humanity in Oryx and Crake could have been altered as a result of dismissing the humanities and arts. The speculated vision in the text is a call for bridging gaps and collaborating efforts to save the planet. La lecture du monde dystopique d'Oryx et Crake à travers une lentille écocritique met sur la table des questions importantes pour l'humanité et l'environnement. Le monde créé dans ce roman est une imagination spéculative d'humains subissant un génocide désastreux au prix d'une utilisation subvertie de la science. En s'appuyant sur le texte, il est suggéré que l'Oryx and Crake d'Atwood prédit de possibles crises environnementales et humaines émergeant non seulement de l'utilisation dépravée de la science, mais aussi de l'écart malheureux entre les domaines de connaissance. En d'autres termes, l'humanité dans Oryx and Crake pourrait avoir été altérée par le rejet des sciences humaines et des arts. La vision spéculée dans le texte est un appel à combler les écarts et à collaborer aux efforts pour sauver la planète. |
