Abstract: هدف البحث الحالي إلي التعرف على العلاقة بين تقدير الذات والألكسيثيميا لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية، كما هدف إلى الكشف عن الفروق في تقدير الذات لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية وفقًا للخلفية الثقافية (ريف / حضر)، وكذلك هدف إلى الكشف عن الفروق في الألكسيثيميا لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية وفقًا للخلفية الثقافية (ريف/ حضر)، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (130) طالب وطالبة (67- حضر) و (63) - ريف) من طلاب المرحلة الثانوية العامة والأزهرية بمحافظتي الجيزة والمنيا، والذين تتراوح أعمارهم بين (16 – 18) عامًا، بمتوسط عمري (17.22)، وانحراف معياري قدره (0.780)، واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي والارتباطي وذلك لأنه الأنسب للدراسة الحالية، وطبق عليهم مقياس تقدير الذات (إعداد جميلة بن عمور، (2018)، ومقياس Toronto Alexithymia Scale -20 تورونتو للألكسيثيميا المكون من (20) بندا، إعداد (تايلور وباجبي، 1994)، وترجمة (علاء الدين كفافي وفؤاد الدواش، 2011)، وتوصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة ذات دلالة إحصائية بين درجة كل من تقدير الذات والألكسيثيميا لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية، ووجود فروق في تقدير الذات وفقًا للخلفية الثقافية (ريف / حضر) وذلك لصالح طلاب الريف، وعدم وجود فروق في الألكسيثيميا وفقا للخلفية الثقافية (ريف / حضر).

The current research aimed to identify the relationship between self-esteem and alexithymia among high school students, It also aimed to reveal the differences in self-esteem among high school students according to the cultural background (rural/urban), as well as to reveal the differences in alexithymia among secondary school students according to the cultural background (rural/urban). The study sample consisted of (130) male and female students (67 rural) and (63 urban) from high school and Al-Azhar students in the governorates of Giza and Minya, between the ages of (16 18) years, with an average age of (17.22), and a standard deviation of (0.780). The study used the descriptive and relational approach because it is most appropriate for the current study, and the self-esteem scale (prepared by Jamila Benamour, 2018) and the Toronto Alexithymia Scale 20 were applied to them, consisting of (20) items, prepared by (Taylor and Bagby, 1994), and translated (Alaa El-Deen Kafafi and Fouad Al-Dawash, 2011), and the results of the study concluded that there is a positive correlation with statistical significance between the degree of each of self esteem and alexithymia among secondary school students, and there are differences in self-esteem according to the cultural background (rural/urban) in favor of rural students, and there are no differences in alexithymia according to the cultural background (rural / urban).
