|b The present study is an attempt to discuss the controversial issue of Islamophobia in the West which is empowered after 9/11 attacks. Undoubtedly, that terrorist event has shocked the American society with its bloody nature targeting innocent civilians. Yet, it has been exploited by politicians and some American writers to form a corrupted image of Islam as the real enemy to the Western civilization and modernity. DeLillo’s Falling Man is one of the post 9/11 American novels which contributed effectively in the image-making of Islam as the source of threat to the West.
