تعد الأسرة أحد أبرز العناصر الأكثر حساسية للتغير الاجتماعي في المجتمع، فإن نظام الزواج لأي مجتمع هو السبيل إلى ذلك التغير سواء من ناحية البناء أو من ناحية الوظائف والموروث الشعبي من طقوس ومعتقدات وأمثال يمثل احد مكونات الهوية لأي مجتمع وهذا ما سوف توضحه هذه الدراسة التي تهدف إلى التعرف على نظام الزواج لدي مجتمع العبابدة وكذلك معرفة موقف العبابدة من زواج الأقارب ومعرفة العادات التي تطورت في الزواج والعادات التي ما زلت تمارس دون تأثر بالتغير الذي طرأ على مجتمع الدراسة وقد استخدم الباحث المنهج التاريخي المقارن والمنهج الأنثروبولوجي كما استخدم أدوات البحث العلمي المتمثلة في الملاحظة والمقابلة والاستعانة بالإخباريين وقد أوضحت النتائج أن نظام الزواج لدي مجتمع العبابدة كما هو من حيث مراحلة وطقوسه ولكن بالنسبة لمظاهر الاحتفال هي التي حدث لها بعض التطوير كما انه تغيرت نظرة الأسرار على الزواج من نفس القبيلة حيث أصبح مسموح بالزواج من خارج القبيلة بعد التشاور بين أفراد العائلة وذلك يرجع لانتشار الوعي الديني والثقافي والعلمي داخل المجتمع.

The results showed that the marriage system of the Ababda community is the same in terms of its stages and rituals, but with regard to the manifestations of celebration, it is the one that has had some development, and the secrets’ view of marriage from the same tribe has changed, as it has become permissible to marry outside the tribe After consultation among family members, this is due to the spread of religious, cultural and scientific awareness within the community.
