المستخلص: صناعة العطور رواية "العطر" للكاتب باتريك سوسكيند يتناول البحث رواية تتحدث عن قصة رجل قاتل عاش في فرنسا خلال القرن الثامن العاشر، وهي رواية بوليسية تتلخص في سلسلة الجرائم التي يرتكبها كرينيول بحق فتيات يتمتعن بروائح عطرة، فهي هدف القاتل وبغيته ليصنع منها عطورا مميزة يقدمه الناس كصناعة نادرة لتدينها أي عطور أخرى. ولعل أهم الأسباب التي دفعته إلى ارتكاب جرائم القتل تلك هي عدم امتلاكه لرائحة الإنسان الطبيعية التي كان ينشدها في حياته فبصناعته لهذا العطر استطاع أن يحصل على حب واهتمام الناس بعد ما كان إنسانا مهملا لا راحة له قبيح الشكل إلا أنه فشل في الحصول على مبتغاه من الخلال عطر الكمال الذي صنعه لان هذا العطر نفسه كان سببا في موته وبالتالي موت عبقريته في صنع العطور والتي لم يدرك البشر أهميتها. فعاش ومات إنسانا مهمشا لا أهمية له ولا لعبقريته، وفي هذا السياق تناولنا العنف الجسدي النفسي والاجتماعي الذي تعرض له كرينويل في طفولته بل وحتى عند لحظة ولادته تعرض للقتل من طرف أمه. من ثم واجه أنواع الاستغلال من طرف مربيه مثل الأعمال الشاقة والعيش وحيدا في عزلة عن المجتمع فبدوره كرينويل قام بأعمال عنيفة بقتله العديد من الفتيات ونشر الرعب بين السكان.

Patrick Süskind’s first novel, Perfume 1985 tells the horrific story of Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, an orphan born in Paris 1 738. Whene Grenouille’s abandoned body is found in the garbage, where everyone who come into contact with him finds something about him to be revulsive. What they are unaware of is that Grenouille’s body does not have any aroma, a distinction which is so subtle that nobody can place their finger on it, but which colors Grenouille’s entire life. Grenouille’s strange relationship to odors is further highlighted by his own extremely sharp sense of smell, caused, perhaps, by the lack of necessity to sense past his own smell. By following Grenouille from his birth, when his mother abandoned him to death among the discarded fish guts through his childhood when he discovered how different he was to his apprenticeship, Süskind is able to evoke several different emotions from the reader. Süskind’s novel is part horror, part historical fiction, it offers insight into the mind of criminally insane while speculating on the role the sense of smell plays in our lives. We study violence of the body and violence of society. Grenouille looks at monsters and murderers. He killed 26 women and the residents are afraid for Grebouille.

Le Parfum, sous-titré Histoire d’un meurtrier, paru en 1985. Au dix-huit siècle vécut en France un homme qui compta parmi les personnages les plus géniaux et les plus horribles de son époque. Il s’appelait Jean-Baptiste Grenouille. Sa naissance, son enfance furent épouvantables et tout autre que lui n’aurait pas survécu. Il vient au monde au milieu de légumes et de poissons avariés, lors d’une journées le plus chaudes de l’année. Sa mère, accusée d’infanticide, est condamnée et décapitée. Mais Grenouille n’avait besoin que d’un minimum de nourriture et de vêtements, et son âme n’avait besoin de rien. Ce monstre Grenouille, car il s’agissait bien d’un genre de monstre, avait un don, ou plutôt un nez unique au monde et il entendait bien devenir, même par les moyens les plus atroces, le dieu tout-puissant de l’univers. Grenouille est confié à plusieurs nourrices. Aucune d’elle ne le garde, elles considèrent qu’il est soit trop goulu, sois inquiétant car ne possédant aucune odeur. Nous analysons la violence physique, la violence dans la société et le maltraitement.
