المستخلص: تكتسي المضائق والممرات المائية أهمية اقتصادية وسياسية بالغة؛ فمنها ما يعد نقطة وصل مهمة بين القارات، وتستعمل للتنقلات والتجارة، وتعد المضائق التي تقع ضمن حوض البحر الأبيض المتوسط من أكثر المنافذ البحرية حيوية في العالم، وقد أثارت خلافات كثيرة ونزاعات طويلة بالنظر للتنافس الدولي الشديد للسيطرة عليها. وفي إطار المعالجة العلمية لهذا الموضوع، تم التركيز على الأهمية الجيوبوليتيكية لمضائق البحر المتوسط الثلاث: مضيق جبل طارق قناة السويس ومضيقي البوسفور والدردنيل من خلال تسليط الضوء على جغرافيتها والدور الذي تلعبه في دعم قوة الأطراف التي تسيطر عليها، وأخيرا الكشف عن أهم التطورات التي صاحبت تنافس القوى الدولية للهيمنة عليها.

Les détroits et les voies navigables sont d'une grande importance économique et politique, certains sont des destinations intercontinentales importantes, sont utilisés pour le transport et le commerce, et les détroits dans le bassin méditerranéen sont parmi les plus vitaux au monde. Dans le contexte du traitement scientifique de ce sujet, on a focus sur l'importance géopolitique des trois détroits méditerranéens: le détroit de Gibraltar, le canal de Suez, le Bosphore et les Dardanelles, en soulignant leur géographie et leur rôle de soutien au pouvoir des partis qu'ils contrôlent. Accompagné la rivalité des puissances internationales pour le dominer.

Straits and waterways hold immense economic and political significance. Some of them serve as crucial connecting points between continents and facilitate trade and movement. Among these, the straits within the Mediterranean basin stand out as vital maritime passages, triggering numerous disputes and prolonged conflicts due to intense international competition for control. In the scientific exploration of this topic, particular attention is given to the geopolitical importance of three key Mediterranean straits: the Strait of Gibraltar, the Suez Canal, and the Bosphorus and Dardanelles Straits. The analysis focuses on their geography and the pivotal role they play in bolstering the influence of the entities that manage them.
