Le trafic illicite de migrants est un phénomène concrétise une véritable alliance entre le crime organisé et les groupes de migrants illégale pour des raisons pragmatiques ; dont le trafiquant sécurise les itinéraires et l’instrument de migration par terre, mer et air, afin de financer son activités par une somme d’argent en contrepartie. Notre étude se focalise sur la dynamique de trafic illicite de migrants dans la région de la méditerranée occidentale ; de l’Afrique de l’ouest, la région du Sahel et le Maghreb Arabe comme des pays d'origine, de transit vers l’Union Européenne (espace SCHENGEN) par les pays de l’Europe du sud (Espagne, Italie, Grèce, Malt), l’augmentation des migrants illicites à cause de la vulnérabilité sécuritaire, économique et sociale de la région Sud, Ouest et Est de la méditerrané, ce que nécessite une approche sécuritaire commune pour le faire face.

The smuggling of illegal immigrants is a phenomenon that highlights the alliance between organized crime and illegal immigration. This collaboration is driven by pragmatic reasons, particularly the dual aspects of power and financing. It involves securing routes and means for smuggling migrants through land, sea, and air in exchange for a pre-agreed financial sum that reflects the full will of the migrant. The study examines the geographical paths of illegal immigrant smuggling in the Western Mediterranean region from West Africa, traversing the African coast and the Arab Maghreb as source and corridor countries towards the countries of southern Europe (Spain, Italy, Greece, and Malta) as receiving countries. These receiving countries perceive this phenomenon as a security threat, prompting the need for a joint approach to confront it.
