المستخلص: The aim of this study is to highlight the importance of evaluating the content validity of classroom achievement tests in the Libyan public secondary schools. Throughout this study, samples of test papers from different secondary schools in Tripoli were selected and investigated in terms of reliability and content validity; besides, a semi-structured interview was conducted with teachers to investigate their perception about the current achievement tests content. The results of the study proved that there is a gap between the secondary school achievement tests and the syllabus content, where to some extent, current tests lack content validity and in need to be reviewed systematically to ensure more content valid tests.
