المستخلص: Islamic law did not want honor to remain permissible, nor did it want honor to be disdained and insulted. Rather, it preserved it, defended it, and preserved it from everything that could harm and damage it. This is embodied in the general and specific texts that were mentioned forbidding harm and ordering the protection of lives and honor, whether in the Qur’an and the Sunnah. The Sharia protects the honor and souls, protects people’s feelings, symptoms, and emotions from being broken, and prevents everything that would expose them to fracture and disintegration, and it should be so! It is the law of mercy and justice, for it is all mercy, all justice, and all wisdom.
