المستخلص: نهدف بهذه المداخلة الحالية إلى التعرف على دور المعلم في عصر التكنولوجيا، لما له من أهمية في العملية التعليمية التعلمية، فهو يعتبر الحجر الأساس فيها والعنصر الفاعل في أية عملية تربوية، فنجاح المؤسسة التربوية في عصر التطور التكنولوجي والمعلوماتي، يتوقف على قدرتها في إحداث نقلة في إعداد المعلم وتأهيله حتى يتمكن من التعامل مع التكنولوجيا الحديثة دون رهبة أو خوف، فإن مهمته أصبحت تشترك بين مهام المربي والمدير والقائد والناقد والمستشار ومصمما للبرامج التربوية ومخططا للسلوك وموجها له، لذلك لابد من تمكين المعلم من التعامل مع الوسائل التكنولوجية الحديثة ومواكبة تغيرات العصر الحالي، وهذا يتطلب إعدادا خاصا ومميزا للمعلم ينمي لديه نزعة التعلم الذاتي، بالإضافة لحاجته إلى تطوير مهاراته وقدراته ومعارفه وإلمامه إلماما جيدا بكافة التقنيات الحديثة ومناهج التدريس وأسس المعرفة النظرية، ومهارات إدارة الصف، نظرا لتغير دوره في مجرد ناقل للمعرفة، إلى شريك وموجه يقدم يد العون للطلبة ويرشدهم إلى مصدر المعرفة.
