المستخلص: يعد موضوع التحديث والشخصية الحديثة من الموضوعات الهامة في العلوم الاجتماعية، حيث تعتبر الشخصية أهم ما تميز الإنسان عن بقية الكائنات الأخرى فهي قابلة للتعديل والتغيير. وهدف البحث إلى التعرف على الخصائص الشخصية الحديثة للمعلم، واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى جملة من النتائج من أهمها (أن التغيرات الحاصلة داخل المجتمعات تستوجب تحديث الشخصية وأدوار المواطنين باستمرار -أن دور المعلم تخطى نقل المعلومات والمعارف إلى ما أبعد من ذلك فأصبح المعلم وقائد ومؤثر ومخطط وموجه- أن الضرورة تحتم اكتساب المعلم للخصائص الحديثة للشخصية بما يتماشى ومتطلبات العصر، واستخدامه لعدة وسائل تعليمية وتربوية حديثة ليقدم للمجتمع كوادر بشرية على قدر كبير من الوعي، وحب الوطن، والعمل المستمر لتحقيق التنمية والتحديث لمجتمعهم).

Modernization and the important personality topic is one of the important topics in The Social Sciences, personality is considered the most important thing that distinguishes a person from the others, because it can change and modify it. The objective of the research is to identify the modern personal characteristics of the teacher, and the study used "the descriptive analytical methods" and the study reached a number of results, the most important which is (the changes taking place within societies require constantly updating the personality and roles of citizens- the roles of the teacher went beyond transferring information and knowledge for that; the teacher became a leader, an influencer, and the planner- the necessary for the teacher to acquire the characteristics of the personality in the line with the requirements of the times, and to use several modern teaching methods to provide society with human resources that they have enough acknowledgement and love of the country, and continues working to achieve development and modernization of their society).
