520 |b Knowledge is a condition of accountability, and ignorance is one of its impediments. - That everyone who works with something must learn the judgment of Allah in it so that he does not fall into sin ignorantly, and whoever does not learn is sinful for not learning. - Ignorance is only considered an excuse if it does not result from a shortening on the part of the accountable person, i.e.: the accountable has no option to ward it off. - Anyone who knows that something is forbidden and is ignorant of its consequences is not excused due to this ignorance. - If an ignorant person has to be punished, then the punishment is dropped from being applied to him, but that does not prevent him from being punished for his failure to learn. - Ignorance is often an excuse in prohibitions, but it does not deviate from the mandated person from the custody of the commanded rules, so he demands them whenever he knows the command of Allah- Glory be to Him. - Those charged- in disputes- in terms of accepting an apology for ignorance or not, are divided into three categories: - Whoever attains knowledge with difficulty: such as someone who grew up in a distant desert or converted to Islam in a land of war, then his apology of ignorance in all matters is accepted.- Whoever grew up in Islamic countries, but is preoccupied with something other than knowledge, such as if he is one of the craftsmen and others, then his apology is accepted except for the fundamentals and the obvious of the religion. - That he is a jurist who is busy with knowledge: his apology is not accepted based on the apparent appearance and prioritizing it over the original. -. Everyone who is said to have no excuse for ignorance in a specific matter, and he died before he knew about it, then it is hoped that Allah’s forgiveness will not take him to account, but rather he will be held accountable for his failure to learn if he was negligent.
