The banks are essential to the proper functioning of economic activities, their development requires special attention to ensure the stability of the economy in general, the objective of our work was to demonstrate the role of governance on the improvement of banking performance, to this end we found that the size of the board of directors, the presence of foreign directors and the duality of management would have a negative influence on the performance of the bank, on the other hand the level of indebtedness and the presence of the remuneration committee and the nomination would influence in a positive way the performance of the bank |
