المستخلص: The promotion of English in Algerian higher education has generated debates within the Algerian academic community. Of paramount significance is the adoption of English as a medium of instruction in Algerian higher education and the training of lecturers in English to achieve such an objective. In this context, this study aims to investigate the attitudes of lecturers studying English in the department of English at Blida 2 university. For this end, an online questionnaire is administered and the 49 completed questionnaires are analyzed. The findings show that participants have a very positive attitude towards their learning experience, but also reveal a mismatch between the content trainees are exposed to and their learning needs and objectives.
