هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على مفهوم السلامة والصحة المهنية والتعرف على مخاطر استخدام أجهزة الحواسيب وملحقاتها ومعرفة الوظائف التي يعمل فيها متخصصو تقنية المعلومات والحاسوب ودورها على أداء العاملين. ومن حيث المنهجية فقد اعتمد الباحثان على نوعين من أنواع البحث الوصفي وذلك لمناسبتهما طبيعة الدراسة، وهما منهج البحث الوصفي المسحي، ومنهج البحث الوصفي التحليلي. وكانت النتائج أن التزام الإدارة العليا بتطبيق إجراءات السلامة والصحة المهنية تزيد من كفاءة العاملين في وظائف تقنية المعلومات والحاسوب، وجود علاقة ارتباطية طردية قوية بين توفير وسائل السلامة والصحة المهنية وفعالية العاملين في وظائف تقنية المعلومات والحاسوب، وجود تأثير إيجابي لممارسات السلامة والصحة المهنية على أداء العاملين في وظائف تقنية المعلومات والحاسوب. وقد أوصت الدراسة بالتثقيف وزيادة وعي العاملين في وظائف المعلوماتية على مخاطر استخدام الحواسيب وطرق التعامل السليم، وإنشاء أقسام للسلامة والصحة المهنية في إدارات تقنية المعلومات، والتصميم الصحي والأمن للمباني التي سوف تستخدم لأغراض التقنية، وسن القوانين والتشريعات التي تدعم السلامة والصحة المهنية.
The study aimed to identify the concept of occupational safety and health and to identify the risks of using computers and their accessories and to know the jobs in which information technology and computer specialists work and their role on the performance of workers. In terms of methodology, the two researchers have relied on two types of descriptive research for their relevance to the nature of the study, which are the descriptive survey research method and the descriptive analytical research approach. The results were that the commitment of the top management to the application of occupational safety and health measures increases the efficiency of workers in information technology and computer functions, the presence of a strong positive correlation between the provision of occupational safety and health means and the effectiveness of workers in information technology and computer functions, and a positive impact of occupational safety and health practices on the performance of workers In IT and computer jobs. The study recommended that, educating and raising the awareness of workers in informatics jobs on the dangers of using computers and methods of proper handling, establishing sections for occupational safety and health in IT departments, health and security design of buildings that will be used for technology purposes, and enacting laws and legislation that support occupational safety and health.
