المستخلص: تناول البحث عدة محاور كان من أبرزها: أن من كان من أهل الضبط من أهل بلدة الراوي له مزية وتقديم في سبر المرويات، ونقد الرواة، كما اتضح أن هناك سمات لبعض البلدان في باب الرواية، وأنها ليست سمات لازمة بل غالبة؛ فلكل قاعدة استثناء، واتضح بالمثال أن كثرة تباين البلدان في طبقات الإسناد الواحد خلاف الأصل، وهو مظنة الإعلال، كما تبين أن اتفاق بلد الرواة محل احتفاء وزيادة قبول عند أهل الرواية إذا رافقته شروط الصحة المعتبرة، وفي المقابل اتضح أنه ليس كل حديث اتفق فيه بلد الرواة نجزم له بالصحة بل الأصل اعتبار شروط الصحة التي استقر عليها أهل العلم، ثم تطرق البحث إلى أن اعتبار قرينة الإعلال برواية غير البلدي هو إمكانية الشذوذ، وهذا ليس على إطلاقه، بل لا بد من توفر القرائن الدالة على تأكيده لأن الحكم بالشذوذ لوجود التفرد البلداني أمر لا ينهض له إلا من له دقة في الفهم، وهذه القرينة يستعملها النقاد استئناسا لأمر لاح لهم، وليست لوحدها تنهض بالإعلال، وقد كان من نتائج البحث تأكيد استقرار رأي النقاد- في تفرد أهل بلد بسنة، أو رواية غير البلدي- على القبول نظريا وعمليا، فيما توافرت فيه شروط الصحة.
