المستخلص: Plutarch was able to write a strong narrative structure for his essay on love Ἐρωτικὸς, as well as he was able, through his formulation of this work, to clarify his idea, which he had always sought from the beginning, and he relied on some elements that establish the narrative structure of his work, among these elements are the manifestations of the narration that It seemed obvious in the narrator, the story, and the recipient, these three elements that are considered the backbone of the narrative structure of the work. The narrator is the embodiment of the author of the work, and the story is the message that the author wants to convey to the recipient. The recipient is chosen by the author of the work to convey his message to him. Then we tried to explore the relationship between the narrator and the author; the narrator is the son of the author, and this means that all his information is documented by his father. We also mentioned the author’s opinion that he wanted to express through the story. Secondly, we were confronted with the narrative formulas presented in the narration and the purpose that explains the way whom the author using in his work, then with contemplative and philosophical paragraphs that illustrate the depth of the author's thinking, and with the narrator's description of the main characters of the work. Thirdly, we have discussed time in the work, which relies on three elements: the fragmentation of the temporal structure and the temporal resumption, which determines the time of the story and the time of the narration, and the element of place, which clarifies the location of the story, because the story does not take place in a vacuum, but needs a place. Finally, we were confronted with the author's language through three elements: the informative, figurative and referential language that illustrates the narrator's ability to tell the story and document its events, or the use of similes and figurative expressions that gave spirit to the work and made it more than an article, bringing it into the world of history, where creative elements came together, pointing to Plutarch's creativity .
