|b Background: The global crisis triggered by the COVID-19 has presented formidable challenges for individuals and families worldwide. Mitigation measures, including lockdowns and restrictions, have prompted an upsurge in electronic questionnaire-based studies to assess pandemic effects on families. Objectives: This study systematically reviews online surveys employed in Arab contexts during 2020- 2021, assessing their adherence to the Checklist for Reporting Results of Internet E-Surveys (CHERRIES). Method: Searches encompassed http://mandumah.com/ and Google Scholar since the pandemic's onset. Out of multiple studies utilizing electronic questionnaires for pandemic-related family impact assessment, 27 were selected for analysis. Results: The study reveals a notable surge in the adoption of electronic questionnaires, while also exposing a limited understanding of proper implementation protocols and insufficient scrutiny of methodological guidelines. Predominantly, Google Forms served as the preferred platform, with social networking sites playing a pivotal role in participant outreach. The evaluation against CHERRIES indicated widespread non-compliance, raising doubts about the quality of the studies and the credibility of the data. Conclusion: The COVID-19 pandemic has led to an increased use of electronic questionnaires for studying family impacts. The prevalence of Google Forms and social media for engagement was highlighted, yet non-adherence to CHERRIES guidelines raises concerns about data reliability.
