|a أدى علماء الدين دورا مهما في الحياة العامة، ولم يقتصر دورهم في إرشاد الناس فيما يخص الجوانب الدينية والعقائدية فحسب بل نجد الكثير منهم قد طوروا في أساليب عديدة وفي جوانب متعددة في الحياة جعلتنا نستفيد كثيرا منها، لا سيما وأن الدين الإسلامي قد حث ودعا إلى الاهتمام بطلب العلم والتكنولوجيا الحديثة وأن نقوم بالبحث المستمر وطلب العلم دائما، فقد كان الشيخ البهائي ممن سار على هذا النهج حتى غدا عالما في الكثير من العلوم كالرياضيات والهندسة والفلك وفن العمارة فضلا عن العلوم الدينية والدبية واللغوية هذا التنوع في التحصيل المعرفي كان سببا مهما في شهرته ومكانته في المجتمع وهذا ما دعا حكام الدولة الصفوية إلى الاستعانة به في الكثير من الوظائف الحكومية.
|b Religious scholars played an important role in public life, and their role was not limited to guiding people with regard to religious and doctrinal aspects only, but we find many of them have developed in many methods and in various aspects of life that made us benefit a lot from them, especially since the Islamic religion has urged and called for Attention to seeking knowledge and modern technology and to doing continuous research and seeking knowledge always. Sheikh Bahai was one of those who followed this approach until he became a scientist in many sciences such as mathematics, engineering, astronomy and architecture, as well as religious, literary and linguistic sciences. This diversity in knowledge acquisition was an important reason for his fame and his position in society and this is what called the rulers of the Safavid state to use him in many government jobs.
