|a إن النقد والبلاغة وجهان لعملة واحدة، إذ لا يمكن فصل أحدهما عن الآخر في التراث العربي وحتى العصر الحديث، فلا يمكن للناقد أن يتناول عملا إبداعيا شعرا كان أو نثرا دون الاستعانة بآليات البلاغة من تشبيه وكناية واستعارة.... الخ، وعن طريق هذه الآليات يكشف مخبوءات النص وبالتالي الحكم على النص ومبدعه بالإجادة أو العكس، وكذا الحال مع المبدع لا يمكنه الإجادة في عمله وإخراج عمل إبداعي دون توظيفه لآليات البلاغة التي بدورها تضفي على عمله التميز والارتقاء عن الكلام المعياري، فالبلاغة هي سحر الكلام الذي يحول النص الاعتيادي إلى نص شعري أدبيا، والناقد عمله مقترن بهذا النص (الأدبي)؛ لذا عند العودة إلى الجذور والبحث في الأسبقية يمكن أن نعده بحثا عقيما فلا بلاغة بدون نقد ولا نقد بدون بلاغة.

The critic cannot deal with a creative work, whether poetry or prose, without resorting to the mechanisms of rhetoric, such as simile, metaphor, etc., and through these mechanisms, he reveals what is hidden in the text. Thus, the text and its creator are judged as being proficient or vice versa. The same is true for the creator. He cannot be proficient in his work and produce a creative work without employing the mechanisms of rhetoric, which in turn give his work distinction and advancement from standard speech. Rhetoric is the magic of speech that transforms an ordinary text into a poetic, literary text, and the critic His work is associated with this (literary) text; Therefore, when we return to the roots and search for precedence, we can consider it a fruitless search, as there is no eloquence without criticism and no criticism without eloquence.
