المستخلص: Denial is an act of refusing something or rejecting someone to do something. It is a way of contradiction of bad or negative things. So far, the present study deals with such a concept by selecting one of Donald Trump’s speeches. This speech is rich with the ideology of denial. Nevertheless, this study is limited to Donald Trump's speech at a rally in South Carolina on February 28, 2020. Trump here denies coronavirus being pandemic but only a controlled case. The study aims at analyzing denial through critical stylistic perspective. This is done through using Jeffries’s model of analysis (Textual Conceptual Functions). The study proves that most of the critical stylistic tools set by Jeffries are present in the analysis. The devices used in the data are significant for the critical interpretation of the selected speech because they are remarkable in reflecting the ideology of denial of Trump. Trump used this mechanism (denial) for the sake of hiding the foible in his policy and rejecting any spot that weakens his political picture in front of the audience.
