|a تحاول هذه الدراسة معالجة موضوع العبيد في القصور المخزنية، في تافيلالت / سجلماسة، اعتمادا على الرسائل السلطانية وبعض المصادر المعاصرة، وما سجلته المتون الرّحلية الأجنبية -التي زار أصحابها المنطقة خلال القرنين التاسع عشر والعشرين -من تفاصيل دقيقة عن الحياة الاجتماعية والاقتصادية والسياسية. ولا مناص من الاعتراف بالعجز عن سبر أغوار موضوع العبيد؛ بسبب التهميش المصدري الذي لحق وضعيتهم داخل القصور المخزنية، وطبيعة النظرة الدونية تجاههم، إلا بعض الإشارات التي قد ترد في أثناء عرض بعض الوقائع العسكرية، أو التراجم السلطانية، أو مما يستنبطه الباحث من سياقات بعض الرسائل المخزنية، عبر مقارنتها بمضمون فتوى فقهية، أو أمثال شعبية، أو رواية شفهية. ومما يزيد الموضوع غموضا سعي السلطة السياسية لحجبه عن الناس، واعتبار شؤون هذه الفئة ونشاطاتها من خصوصيات البلاط.
|b This research paper examines social, economic and political details of the lives of slaves at Moroccan palaces in the Tafilalet-Sijilmassa region, relying on the Sultan's correspondence and other contemporary sources, as well as accounts by foreign travellers who visited the region during the 19th and 20th centuries. Any study of this subject will inevitably come up against the paucity of source materials on the situation of palace slaves. However, a scattering of references may be found in narratives of certain military events and in chronicles and biographies of the Sultans. The researcher may also extract rare snippets of information from royal correspondence on certain administrative matters. This data may be read in parallel with religious rulings, popular proverbs and oral histories found in other contexts, giving them added meaning and relevance. Yet the subject also remains opaque due to the authorities' perceptions of slaves' inferiority and efforts to conceal their affairs from the public eye, considering them a private matter of the palace.
