|b Recently, sustainable improvement of business faces various challenges for the global economic competition. However, these challenges can be overcomes by efficient business strategies. This research aims to analyze the market dynamic and to investigate the current trends in port competitiveness in the Mediterranean basin by analyzing the dynamics of the carriers’ market, to determine the type of market structure using BCG model. This research is containing all container ports which have a design capacity more than one million TEU per year. This research is limited to the defined container ports in the Mediterranean.
