|a يعد محصول البطاطس من محاصيل الخضر الهامة في مصر باعتباره من المحاصيل الغذائية والتصنيعية التي تقوم عليها بعض الصناعات الغذائية، حيث بلغت المساحة المزروعة منه خلال الفترة (2005-2021) حوالي 386.39 ألف فدان، بكمية أنتاج بلغت حوالي 4415.48 ألف طن خلال نفس الفترة، كما أنه مصدرا هاما من مصادر الدخل الزراعي القومي والحصول على النقد الأجنبي والمساهمة في زيادة حصيلة الصادرات الزراعية المصرية، ويعتبر محصول البطاطس من أهم المحاصيل التصديرية، حيث بلغت قيمة الصادرات المصرية من البطاطس حوالي 185.17 مليون دولار وذلك خلال الفترة (2005-2021)، تمثل نحو 4.75% من قيمة صادرات العالم من البطاطس والتي تبلغ 3895.25 مليون دولار خلال نفس الفترة. وتبين أن أهم الدول المنافسة لمصر في تصدير محصول البطاطس هي فرنسا، هولندا، ألمانيا، بلجيكا خلال الفترة (2017-2021)، كما تبين وجود ميزة نسبية ظاهرية للصادرات المصرية من البطاطس في الأسواق العالمية، وأن معدل الاختراق للصادرات المصرية من البطاطس خلال الفترة (2017 -2021) تزايد في أسواق الإمارات العربية المتحدة، سلوفينيا، عمان، اليونان والكويت وهي تعتبر من الأسواق الواعدة لذلك يوصي البحث بالتوسع في صادرات البطاطس المصرية لهذه الأسواق وجعلها متاحة في صورة سهلة وميسرة للمنتجين والمصدرين.
