المستخلص: The present work the study of electroless Ni-B deposits on mild steel sample in alkaline bath having nickel chloride as the source of nickel and borohydride as the reducing agent was used to prepare the electroless Ni-B deposits. The influence of operating conditions on the plating rate and the best temperature and PH of the deposition bath to obtain a better and stable thickness of Ni-B alloy coating were investigated in this paper. The compositions of deposition bath were about 30, 1, 40, 40 g/L and 1000cc for NiCl2.6H2O, NaBH4, KNaC4H4O6. 4H2O, NaOH, and NH3 (25%), respectively. The temperature of bath deposition from 60 to 90C ͦ . The pH of the bath were ranged from 12.5 to 14. The thickness and rate of deposit layer was obtained by using a sensitive balance and also measured hardness by using Vickers hardness test.
