| 520 | |b This present article analyzes two important concepts in the philosophical project of the Algerian Islamologist Mohammed Arkoun: sacred ignorance and institutionalized ignorance. Two concepts criticized by the Arkounian project, because they represent two constraints which have marked the heritage of Arab-Islamic thought and two socio-cultural phenomena which have permeated the process of the construction of Islamic reason. Indeed, Arkoun raises, with a critical approach, several questions relating to sacred ignorance and institutionalized ignorance. Questions about their nature and theoretical bases. Questions about the historical reasons, which gave rise to them. But also questions concerning the impact of these two ignorance’s on Islamic thought and its inability to integrate the values of modernity and universal virtues into its philosophical, critical and epistemological paradigm. |d Ce présent article analyse deux concepts importants dans le projet philosophique de l’islamologue algérien Mohammed Arkoun, à savoir l’ignorance sacrée et l’ignorance institutionnalisée. Deux concepts critiqués par le projet arkounien, car ils représentent deux contraintes qui ont marqué l’héritage de la pensée arabo-islamique et deux phénomènes socioculturels qui ont imprégné le processus de la construction de la raison islamique. En effet, Arkoun soulève, avec une approche critique, plusieurs questions relatives à l’ignorance sacrée et l’ignorance institutionnalisée. Des questions sur leur nature et leurs bases théoriques. Des questions sur les raisons historiques qui ont donné leur naissance. Mais aussi des questions concernant l’impact de ces deux ignorances sur la pensée islamique et son incapacité d’intégrer les valeurs de la modernité et les vertus universelles dans son paradigme philosophique, critique et épistémologique. | ||
