المستخلص: The acquisition of idiomatic expressions poses a formidable challenge to learners of French as a foreign language, especially for those whose native language differs significantly from French. This study explores the use of the native dialect as a pedagogical tool to facilitate the understanding of these figurative expressions. Through an experimental methodology based on analysis and comparison, a group of students participated in an evaluation of the effectiveness of a bilingual approach in learning idiomatic expressions. The results confirmed the initial hypothesis: the bilingual approach proves to be a relevant pedagogical tool for the understanding of idiomatic expressions. In sum, the integration of the native dialect in the teaching of idiomatic expressions in French as a foreign language reveals a strategy that favors a deeper understanding and an effective memorization, thus contributing to a more enriching learning.

L'acquisition des expressions idiomatiques pose un défi redoutable aux apprenants du français en tant que langue étrangère, particulièrement pour ceux dont la langue maternelle diffère considérablement du français. Cette étude explore l'utilisation du dialecte maternel comme moyen pédagogique pour faciliter la compréhension de ces expressions imagées. À travers une méthodologie expérimentale basée sur l'analyse et la comparaison, un groupe d'étudiants a participé à une évaluation de l'efficacité d'une approche bilingue dans l'apprentissage des expressions idiomatiques. Les résultats ont confirmé l'hypothèse initiale: l'approche bilingue s'avère être un outil pédagogique pertinent pour la compréhension des expressions idiomatiques. En somme, l'intégration du dialecte maternel dans l'enseignement des expressions idiomatiques en français langue étrangère se révèle une stratégie favorisant une compréhension plus approfondie et une mémorisation efficace, contribuant ainsi à un apprentissage plus enrichissant.
