استحوذت قضايا التنمية المستدامة خلال العشرين سنة المنصرمة على اهتمام العالم، فعقدت من أجلها القمم والمنتديات العالمية. ونتيجة لهذا الاستحواذ، أصبحت التنمية المستدامة مطلباً أساسياً لتحقيق العدالة والإنصاف في توزيع مكاسب التنمية والثروات بين الأجيال المختلفة لشعوب المعمورة المختلفة، كما يعد العنصر البشري مورد هام لأي دولة تسعى للتنمية، ومن خلاله يمكن الاستفادة من كافة الموارد المادية لأقصى درجة ممكنة، ولهذا لا يرجع عدم تحقيق البرامج التنموية لأهدفها المنشودة لعدم توافر الموارد المادية بقدر ما يرجـع إلى انعـدام كفاءة واسـتثمار الطاقـات البشـرية بالمجتمـع، وقد حظيت التنمية المـستدامة بـأهمية كـبيـرة في المملكة العربـية السعودية منذ بداية مسيرتهـا التـنـمويـة، واتضحـت معالمه في توجهاتها الاستراتيجية بعيدة المدى، والدراسة الحالية تسعى للتعرف على دور الشباب في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة؛ وذلك من خلال مجموعة من الأهداف الفرعية والتساؤلات التي تتبناها الدراسة. والدراسة من الدراسات الوصفية باستخدام طريقة المسح الاجتماعي بالعينة من طلاب قسم علم الاجتماع والخدمة الاجتماعية جامعة الملك عبد العزيز (277) مفردة، وقد اعتمدت الدراسة على الاستبانة كأداة رئيسية في جمع البيانات، وانتهت الدراسة إلى مجموعة من النتائج: أن هناك العديد من الأدوار التي يساهم فيها الشباب في البرامج (الاجتماعية – الاقتصادية – البيئية) للتنمية المستدامة، كما أوصت الدراسة بالعمل على إتاحة الفرصة للشباب في المشاركة الفعالة في اتخاذ وتنفيذ وتقييم القرارات الخاصة بالقضايا المجتمعية، إضافة إلى تمكين الشباب للمساهمة الفعالة في التنمية من خلال اشاركهم في البرامج والأنشطة التي تساهم في تنمية الوعي لديهم بقضايا مجتمعهم.
During the past twenty years, sustainable development issues have captured the world's attention, and global summits and forums have been held for them. As a result of this acquisition, sustainable development has become a basic requirement to achieve justice and equity in the distribution of development gains and wealth among the different generations of the different peoples of the world. The human element is also an important resource for any country seeking development, and through it, all material resources can be utilized to the maximum extent, and therefore not possible. the lack of development programs Ohdvha desired for lack of material resources as much as due to the lack of efficiency and investment of human resources society, has enjoyed sustainable development of great importance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since the beginning of the development march, and demonstrated its features in the strategic directions long-term, the current study seeks to identify The role of youth in achieving sustainable development; This is done through a set of sub-objectives and questions that the study adopts. The study is one of the descriptive studies using the method of social survey with the sample of students from the Department of Sociology and Social Work at King Abdulaziz University (277) single, and the study relied on the questionnaire as a main tool in data collection, and the study ended with a set of results: that there are many roles that contribute In which young people are involved in programs (social- economic- environmental) for sustainable development. The study also recommended working on providing the opportunity for young people to actively participate in taking, implementing and evaluating decisions on societal issues, in addition to empowering young people to contribute effectively to development through their participation in programs and activities that contribute To develop awareness of their community issues.
