|a يعد الأزهر أقدم جامعة علمية متكاملة متواصلة في العالم، وقد حاز الريادة والسبق عن جميع المعاهد العلمية والجامعات في العالم في الاهتمام بذوي القدرات الخاصة ورعايتهم وكفل ما تتطلبه حياتهم المعيشية والدراسية من استقرار، فتم إنشاء مكان خاص بالمكفوفين يقيمون فيه ويختص بهم دون غيرهم أطلق عليه "رواق العميان". وتهتم تلك الدراسة بالحديث عن نظم تعليم المكفوفين في الأزهر في المراحل التعليمية المختلفة في ظل حركة إصلاح التعليم الأزهري وتطور نظم التعليم والدراسة في الفترة (١٣١٤- ١٣٨١ هـ/ ١٨٩٦- ١٩٦١م)، من حيث العلوم الدراسية ونظم التعليم والدراسة والامتحانات والشهادات العلمية وفتح مجالات العمل، وهو يبرز جانب إنساني مهم في تاريخ التعليم الأزهري.

It has gained the leadership and precedence of all scientific institutes and universities in the world in caring for and caring for special abilities and ensuring the stability required by their living and study lives. A special place for blind people has been created to they only reside in it became known as the " Rewak El emyaan." This study focuses on the educational systems for the blind in Al-Azhar in the different educational stages in light of the Al-Azhar education reform movement, and the development of education and study systems in the period (1314-1381 AH/ 1896-1961 AD) in study sciences, education and study systems, examinations scientific certificates, and opening fields of work, and highlights an important human aspect in the history of Al-Azhar.
