المستخلص: لاقت الدراسة الصوتية في العصر الحديث اهتماماً كبيراً، وتمكن علماء اللغة المحدثون من بذل جهود كبيرة استناداً على ما أسسه القدماء في مجال دراسة أصوات اللغة ومخارجها وصفاتها، وعلى ما توفر لهم من تقنيات وأجهزة علمية وبرامج حاسوبية متطورة مكنتهم من دراسة الأصوات دراسة علمية مخبرية. وأتاحت لهم أن يبنوا دراساتهم على الملاحظة والتجريب. وقد أصبح بإمكان هذه البرامج أن تحلل الصوت المنطوق بوصفه ظاهرة مادية طبيعية تحليلاً فيزيائياً، وتمثله تمثيلاً مرئياً عن طريق تحويله إلى صور طيفية تبين بوضوح خصائصه الفيزيائية بما يضمن لهم نتائج أكثر دقة وفي وقت أقل. وتهدف هذه الورقة البحثية إلى تسليط الضوء على تأثير التحليل الطيفي للأصوات في الكشف عن الحقائق المتعلقة بطبيعة الأصوات، وصفاتها وظواهرها المختلفة، بما يقدمه من تحليل لأبعادها الفيزيائية التي تتحدد على أساسها السمات التمييزية لكل صوت. وتضمنت الدراسة مجموعة من المباحث تحدثت عن الجهود المبذولة في دراسة الأصوات قديماً وحديثاً وأهم الأجهزة الفيزيائية للصوت، ودورها في كشف الحقائق والأسرار المتعلقة بدراسته. وانتهت إلى جملة من النتائج أهمها: أن للتحليل الطيفي تأثيراً كبيراً في معرفة طبيعة الصوت وأنواعه وخصائصه وظواهره المختلفة، ودورًا في حسم الخلاف في المسائل التي اختلف فيها القدماء والمحدثون فيما يتعلق بتوصيف الأصوات.

In the modern era, the study of phonetics has received great attention, and modern linguists have been able to make great efforts based on what the ancients established in the field of studying the sounds of language, their sources and characteristics, and on the techniques, scientific devices and advanced computer programs available to them that enabled them to study sounds in a scientific laboratory study. It allowed them to base their studies on observation and experimentation. These programs have become able to physically analyze spoken sound as a natural physical phenomenon and represent it visually by converting it into spectral images that clearly show its physical characteristics, ensuring more accurate results in less time. This research paper aims to shed light on the impact of spectral analysis of sounds in revealing facts related to the nature of sounds, their characteristics, and their various phenomena, through the analysis it provides of their physical dimensions, on the basis of which the discriminating features of each sound are determined. The study included a group of topics that talked about the efforts made in studying sounds, ancient and modern, and the most important physical devices of sound and their role in revealing the facts and secrets related to its study. It concluded with a number of results, the most important of which is that spectral analysis has a major impact on knowing the nature of sound, its types, characteristics and various phenomena, and a role in resolving disputes in issues in which the ancients and moderns differed regarding the description of sounds.
