المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة إلي التعرف علي فرص العمل المتاحة لخريجي المكتبات والمعلومات المصريين في ظل التقنيات الناشئة والمسميات الوظيفية لأخصائي المعلومات في ظل هذه التقنيات، فضلا عن المهارات والكفاءات المطلوبة لبيئة العمل الجديدة ودور برامج المكتبات والمعلومات في الإعداد والتأهيل المهني للخريجين في ظل التقنيات الناشئة استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي واعتمدت علي الاستبانة كأداة لجمع البيانات للحصول علي صورة تعبر عن واقع وعي خريجي المكتبات والمعلومات بالتقنيات الناشئة وتأثير هذه التقنيات علي التوظيف في قطاع المعلومات من وجهة نظرهم. بلغ مجتمع الدراسة ۳۸۷ من خريجي المكتبات والمعلومات المصريين العامليين داخل مصر وخارجها، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج أهمها: أن نسبة ۷۱% من مجتمع الدراسة على وعي بالتقنيات الناشئة، أثرت التقنيات الناشئة على التوظيف في قطاع المعلومات من حيث المهارات المطلوبة والمسمى الوظيفي، أوضحت نسبة ٥٥,٦% من مجتمع الدراسة عن اتجاه مؤسسات المعلومات للإعلان عن وظائف جديدة وقلقهم نحو الاستغناء عنهم.

This study aimed to identify the job opportunities available to library and information Egyptian graduates in light of emerging technologies and the job titles for information specialists in light of these technologies. This is in addition to identifying and determining the skills and competencies required for the new work environment and the role of library and information programs in the professional preparation and qualification of graduates in light of emerging technologies. The study used the descriptive analytical approach and relied on the questionnaire as a tool for collecting data to obtain a picture that expresses the reality of the awareness of library and information graduates about emerging technologies and the impact of these technologies on employment in the information sector from their point of view. The study society consisted of 387 Egyptian library and information graduates working inside and outside Egypt. The study reached several findings, the most important of which are: (1) about 71% of the study society indicated their awareness of emerging technologies, (2) emerging technologies have influenced employment in the information sector in terms of skills required and job title, (3) about 55.6% of the study society explained the tendency of information institutions to advertise new jobs and their indicated their concern about being laid off.
