|b Currently, the blockchain is of crucial importance for the performance of supply chain management, because of the advantages it offers and the extent of the areas in which it can be deployed. This article makes a contribution to the literature related to the subject, which is still in an embryonic state. It is a start to understanding how this emerging technology could revolutionize SCM by providing concrete examples that give an idea of the maturity levels and application capabilities. Despite its strengths, the article raises limitations that follow the the blockchain in the SCM. However, because of its futuristic perspectives and applications, the blockchain promises to radically transform established SCM business models.
|d Actuellement, la blockchain revêt une importance cruciale pour la performance du supplychain management, en raison des avantages qu'elle offre et l'étendue des domaines où son déploiement est possible. Cet article apporte une contribution à la littérature liée au sujet qui reste encore dans un état embryonnaire. Il constitue un début afin de chercher à comprendre comment cette technologie émergente pourrait révolutionner le SCM en avançant des exemples concrets donnant une idée sur les niveaux de maturité et les capacités d'application. Malgré ses atouts, l'article soulève des limites qui emboîtent le pas à la blockchain dans le SCM. Toutefois, en raison de ses perspectives et applications futuristes, la blockchain promet de transformer radicalement les modèles d'affaires établis du SCM.
