المستخلص: استهدف البحث الحالي التعرف على دور نظم المعلومات الإدارية في تحقيق التنمية الإدارية للقيادات الجامعية بجامعة سوهاج، ولتحقيق أهداف هذا البحث والإجابة على أسئلته اعتمد الباحث على المنهج الاستقرائي، حيث تم التطرق إلى الأدبيات والدراسات السابقة ذات الصلة، ومن خلالها تم الحصول على أهم المصطلحات الخاصة بالإطار النظري للبحث، أما الدراسة الميدانية فقد تم الاعتماد على المنهج التحليلي، حيث تم إعداد استبيان تم تصميمه وتوزيعه على القيادات الجامعية بجامعة سوهاج لغرض الحصول على المعلومات الكافية للدراسة، وباستخدام برنامج التحليل الإحصائي SPSS، وتحليل وتفسير النتائج توصلت الدراسة إلى وجود قصور في كفاءة نظم المعلومات الإدارية بالجامعة من حيث القصور في كفاءة المكونات المادية والبرمجيات والاتصالات وقواعد البيانات وكفاءة الفنيين والعاملين بنظم المعلومات الإدارية بالجامعة، كما تبين أن جودة المعلومات التي تنتجها نظم المعلومات الإدارية بالجامعة كانت متوسطة، وكذلك مستوى التنمية الإدارية للقيادات الجامعية بالجامعة كان منخفض، وأن مستوى معوقات تفعيل نظم المعلومات الإدارية لتحقيق التنمية الإدارية للقيادات الجامعية بالجامعة كان مرتفع، وتم وضع تصور مقترح لتفعيل دور نظم المعلومات الإدارية لتحقيق التنمية الإدارية للقيادات الجامعية بجامعة سوهاج.

The current research aimed to identify the role of management information systems in achieving administrative development for university leaders at sohag university. And to achieve the aims of this research and answer its questions, the research depended on the inductive method where the relevant literature and previous studies were discussed, and through them, we got the most important terms of the theoretical framework of the search, as for the field study, it was based on the analytical method, where a questionnaire was designed and disturbed to the university leaders at Sohag university for the purpose of obtaining sufficient information for the study, and through using the statistical analysis program "SPSS" and analyzing and interpreting the result, the study concluded that there are shortcoming in the efficiency of the administrative information systems of the university in terms of shortcoming in the efficiency of hardware components, software, communications, databases and the efficiency of technicians and workers in the administrative information systems of the university. Also, it appeared that the information quality which the administrative information systems of the university produce were medium, as well as the level of the administrative development of the university leaders was low, and the level of the constraints/ hardships to activate the administrative information systems to achieve the administrative development for the university leaders was high, and a proposed/ suggested vision (concept) was developed to activate the role of management information systems to achieve administrative development for the university leaders at Sogah university.
