|a تسعى استراتيجية إيران في القارة الأفريقية إلى دعم النفوذ السياسي الإيراني كجزء من المحور المعادي للغرب الذي تسعى إلى إنشائه في دول العالم الثالث، فضلا. عن تصدير الثورة الإسلامية من خلال المؤسسات الإيرانية أو المراكز الثقافية التي تنشر الفكر الشيعي، وتعزيز نفوذها من خلال نشر جهودها في البلاد والمجتمعات الإسلامية التي تعيش في القارة الأفريقية. من جهة أخرى، تقوم إيران بتأسيس وجود لها على الأرض وبحري فعال في البحر الأحمر لذا تعمل على تقوية علاقاتها بالدول الأفريقية التي تطل على البحر الأحمر. هذا وتسعى إيران لتقوية علاقاتها البحرية باليمن، ففي يونيو 2009 عقدت اتفاقية تسمح للأساطيل الإيرانية أن ترسو في ميناء عدن كجزء من مهمة إيران في محاربة القراصنة الصوماليين، فضلاً عن البوارج الحربية الست الإيرانية المستقرة في المياه الصومالية لحماية السفن التجارية الإيرانية. وبالرغم من بروز الدور الإيراني في أفريقيا إلا أنه لم يكن نمطيًا أو ثابت بشكل عام ولكنه كان متنوعا ومختلفا بحسب كل دولة حيث أن لكل دولة أفريقية خصوصيتها لدى إيران.
|b Iran’s strategy in the African continent seeks to support Iranian political influence as part of the anti-Western axis that it seeks to establish in the third world countries, as well as exporting the Islamic Revolution through Iranian institutions or cultural centers that spread Shiite thought, and strengthening its influence by spreading its efforts in the country and Muslim societies that live in the African continent. On the other hand, Iran is establishing an effective land and naval presence in the Red Sea, so it is working to strengthen its relations with the African countries bordering the Red Sea. Iran is seeking to strengthen its maritime relations with Yemen. In June 2009, an agreement was signed that allows Iranian fleets to dock in the port of Aden as part of Iran's mission to fight Somali pirates, as well as the six Iranian warships stationed in Somali waters to protect Iranian merchant ships. Despite the emergence of the Iranian role in Africa, it was not typical or fixed in general, but it was diverse and different according to each country, as each African country has its own peculiarity with Iran.
