المستخلص: إن حرف (حتى) من حروف المعاني ذات الأثر البين في تغيير الأحكام الفقهية ووقوعها أو ارتفاعها، وهذا الأثر يبرز ويتضح حين يكون (حتى) دالا على المعنى الأصلي له وهو الغاية -مطلقا، ولا يمكن حمله دائما على الغاية وإن كانت هي الغالبة فيه؛ لكونه من الحروف ذات الوجوه المتعددة، والمعاني المتغايرة، كما أنه من الحروف المختلف في أحكامها بين الأصوليين والنحويين، فلزم الوقوف على حقيقة هذا الحرف ودراسة معانيه وأثره على الأحكام الشرعية؛ وفي هذا البحث بينت حقيقة هذا الحرف وأنه يحمل معان مختلفة، وبينت أثره على الأحكام الفقهية حال كونه دالا على الغاية- مطلقا- واستخدمت في البحث المنهج الاستقرائي: بعرض أقوال العلماء في بيان المعاني المتعددة للحرف والمنهج الوصفي التحليلي: عند سرد الأدلة وتحليل موضع الشاهد منها، والمقارن عند مقارنة الحرف (حتى) مع غيره من حروف المعاني ومقارنة معانيه ببعضها البعض، وكانت أهم النتائج ما يلي: 1- إن حرف (حتى) من حروف المعاني المتميزة باحتمالها معان عدة وأوجه مختلفة، إلا أن معنى الغاية لا ينفك عنه بحال. 2- إن حرف (حتى) المؤثر في الأحكام الفقهية هو الدال على الغاية مطلقا. 3- إن حرف (حتى) في دلالته على الغاية يختلف اختلافا تاما عن حرف (إلى) في دلالته على الغاية.

The particle "حتى" is one of the linguistic particles with a clear impact on changing or determining legal rulings, and this effect becomes prominent when "حتى" indicates its original meaning, which is the endpoint absolutely. However, it cannot always be interpreted as indicating the endpoint, even though this is its predominant meaning, because it is a particle with multiple interpretations and varying meanings. Furthermore, the rulings concerning this particle are subject to differences of opinion between jurists and grammarians. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the true nature of this particle, study its meanings, and assess its impact on Islamic legal rulings. In this research, I have clarified the essence of this particle, showing that it carries different meanings, and I have highlighted its impact on legal rulings when it indicates the endpoint—absolutely. The research employed the inductive method by presenting scholars' views on the various meanings of the particle, the descriptive analytical method when citing evidence and analyzing the relevant points, and the comparative method by comparing "حتى " with other linguistic particles and comparing its meanings with one another. The key findings were as follows: 1. The particle "حتى" is distinguished by its potential to convey multiple meanings and different interpretations, yet the concept of the endpoint is always associated with it. 2. The particle "حتى" which impacts legal rulings, is the one that signifies the endpoint- absolutely. 3. The particle "حتى" in its indication of the endpoint, is entirely different from the particle " إلى " in its indication of the endpoint.
